you know i worry you know i worry you know i worry
you know i don’t sleep you know i barely trust my instincts
you know i worry you know i worry you know i worry
i worry you’re sneaking up on me
looking over my shoulder
observing your nature
i can’t tell what you’re after
so keep your hands where i can see them
you think i’m paranoid or too suspicious
well, danger lurks behind known faces
when you try to catch me off guard don’t forget
i walk around with my fists clenched
don't know which direction to be facing
second guessing all intentions
keep your hands where i can see them
i’m a mother who eats her babies cuz it’s gonna be a lean year
if it’s pray or preying i’ll be preying, i’ll make you cry my tears
i’m a mother who eats her babies cuz it’s gonna be a lean year
if it’s pray or preying i’ll be preying, i’ll make you cry my tears
i’m a mother who eats her babies cuz it’s gonna be a lean year
looking over my shoulder
observing your nature
you should be more suspicious
cuz danger lurks in known faces
i’m a mother who eats her babies
cuz it’s gonna be a lean year
if it’s be pray or preying i’ll be preying
i’ll make you cry my tears
you know i worry you know i worry you
better keep your hands where i can see them
you know i worry you know i worry you
better keep your hands where i can see them
What a fantastic find. Throws all of my love for Wire, Minutemen, The Waitresses, and every other herky-jerky art-punk band, into a blender and comes out better than a kale smoothie. But beyond the nostalgia factor, these are sharp songwriters and arrangements. Excited to see them live tomorrow night! Ragle Gumm
Layering guitars and saxes over synths and drum machines, this Oakland duo's darkwave is as melodically potent as it is texturally rich. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 1, 2024
